M.C.M Woodland High School • Nursery through Class X • Est. 1995
Our early years programme uses a play-way, activity-based approach to build the foundations of language, numeracy, and social skills in a warm, safe environment. Children learn through exploration, not memorisation.
Primary school builds strong academic foundations in a smart classroom environment. We follow the NCERT framework with digital support — every child is known by their teacher, and every concept is taught with care.
Middle school expands subjects and introduces critical thinking. From Class VII, students begin dedicated Coding & Computer Science sessions — making Woodland one of the few schools in the region to integrate coding this early.
Classes IX and X are fully oriented toward the Assam Secondary Education Board (ASSEB) HSLC examinations. Students receive focused, structured teaching with mock tests, extra sessions, and individual attention to ensure every child performs their best.
We teach children to understand concepts, not just memorise answers. Our teachers are trained to ask questions, encourage curiosity, and ensure every child genuinely grasps what they are learning.

Academics are the core, but not the only thing. We develop the whole child — through yoga, sports, arts, drama, and music — because we know that a healthy, confident child learns better.

Technology is not an add-on at Woodland — it is woven into every lesson. From the moment a child enters Class I, they learn in a smart, digitally-equipped environment that makes learning more visual, engaging, and effective.
By Class VII, students begin formal Coding & Computer Science sessions, building the digital fluency that the modern world demands — well ahead of most schools in the region.
Interactive digital boards in every classroom replace traditional blackboards — enabling visual explanations, videos, and real-time student engagement.
A dedicated lab with 9 desktops, 2 scanners, and printers where students from Class VII learn coding, typing, and essential digital tools.
The school's flagship technology — RFID gate tracking sends real-time attendance notifications to parents the moment their child enters the campus.
A dedicated generator ensures that power outages never disrupt a lesson. Technology works only when the power does — so we made sure it always does.
Students are assessed continuously throughout the year — through class tests, unit tests, projects, and participation. This ensures that no child falls behind unnoticed.
The academic year is divided into two terms, each ending with formal examinations. Results are shared with parents at Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM), held twice a year.
Class IX and X students receive special attention as they prepare for ASSEB board examinations. Mock tests, past papers, doubt-clearing sessions, and extra classes.
New academic year starts. All classes from Nursery to Class X resume. New students receive RFID cards and uniform checklist.
First round of formative assessments across all classes. Results shared with parents.
Formal mid-year exams. PTM (Parent-Teacher Meeting) held after results are declared.
Annual cultural programme, prize distribution, drama and music performances.
Admissions for the following academic year open from December. Forms available at the school office.
Final annual exams for Classes I–VIII. ASSEB HSLC board examinations for Classes IX–X.
NCERT for Classes I–VIII and ASSEB for IX–X — fully recognised frameworks that ensure your child's qualifications are valid and respected nationwide.
Every child is taught by a qualified, committed teacher. With 531 students and 23 teachers, we maintain a student-teacher ratio that allows genuine attention.
We introduced Coding & Computer Science from Class VII — well ahead of the national curriculum mandate. Our students are digital-ready.
Parents are never left guessing. PTM twice a year, real-time Parent App updates, and ongoing teacher communication keep every family informed.
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. At Woodland, we do not merely prepare children for examinations — we prepare them for life."
